Who can read your food log? What Remembite stores

Remembite stores your meals, meal photos, water, weight, goals and email address on a server in Frankfurt, Germany. It asks for your explicit health data consent before it saves anything, and you can withdraw it later. You can export everything or delete your account yourself. Your AI service keeps what it sees in your chat under its own terms.

What does a food log say about me?

You are about to connect your food log to an AI assistant. Meals and goals can hint at your health, so ask what it holds. Your AI does the math. Remembite keeps the record.

What does Remembite store, and for how long?

Main categories (full list: data we collect):

  • Account: email address, account ID, session cookie. Kept until you delete your account.
  • Meals, water, weight, saved foods, goals: kept until you delete them or your account.
  • Meal photos: up to 4 per meal, kept on Remembite's own server in Frankfurt until you delete the photo, the meal or your account. Remembite removes location data before storing a photo and does not read photos or estimate calories from them.
  • Backups: a nightly encrypted copy on the Frankfurt server and one in Cloudflare R2 (EU jurisdiction), deleted automatically within 31 days.
  • Server logs: event names, counts, timings and web access log with IP address, up to 30 days.

A deleted account or photo can remain in a backup for up to 31 days. Photos are backed up too, also encrypted.

What stays out: Remembite does not collect your conversations with your AI assistant, your chat history or memory, your files, your precise location, your contacts, advertising identifiers or payment card numbers.

Also in the policy: "We do not use your data to train AI models." "We do not sell personal data, rent it or share it for advertising." See the subprocessors list.

Yes. Sign-in is an email link: no password, single use, 10 minutes. Then Remembite asks first.

The consent screen has two checkboxes:

  • Explicit consent to Remembite collecting and storing your meal logs, meal photos, water logs, weight logs, personal foods and nutrition goals.
  • Consent to sending those records to the AI assistant you connect when you ask it to read them.

Choose Agree and continue or Decline. Without the first consent Remembite cannot store your meals.

If you withdraw consent later, Remembite stops showing and recording your meals, meal photos, water, weight, goals and saved foods, disconnects your AI apps and signs you out everywhere. Your data stays until you delete it.

How do I disconnect, export or delete?

All four are on the Account page. The sample dashboard shows the layout.

  • Disconnect. Under Connected apps. The app can keep access for up to 15 minutes.
  • Withdraw consent. Health data consent has a Withdraw button.
  • Export. Download JSON (everything stored about you except photos, consent history included) or Download CSV (one row per food). Photos come in a separate ZIP (Download photos).
  • Delete. Type your account email and choose Delete my account. It cannot be undone.

What does my AI see?

It sees what you ask it to read. From then on, that content is part of your conversation and is handled under Anthropic's or OpenAI's terms. To log food, the assistant sends the foods, the nutrition values it worked out, the meal time, your time zone and an access token. Remembite does not receive the rest of your conversation. Photos you attach also show as small previews in the Remembite card inside Claude or ChatGPT when you open that meal or day, so those services may process them under their own terms. The AI is not offered the tool that adds photos.

Remembite is not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI. Claude now, ChatGPT (beta). How to connect.
