Use case

Cook from scratch, log the pot once

Cook one pot, eat four bowls. Tell your AI the ingredient weights and how many portions the pot makes. Your AI works out one bowl, and Remembite saves it with each ingredient compared against a USDA reference record. Then you save the dish as a meal and repeat it next week in one message.

Why does tracking a home-cooked meal feel like a chore?

A barcode does nothing for an onion and a bag of lentils. A recipe form wants every ingredient typed in again, every time you cook the dish.

It is tedious when you cook a meal to list out all the ingredients and weigh everything, and figure out how many portions, etc.

You say what went in the pot once. After that the dish is a saved meal, not a form.

How does Remembite handle a dish you cook from scratch?

Your AI does the math. Remembite keeps the record.

  • You list the ingredients with weights and the number of portions. Your AI divides the pot and sends one portion, with grams and kcal per ingredient.
  • Remembite matches each ingredient to a USDA record. If a number looks far off, it sends a question back instead of saving.
  • You save the portion as a named meal and repeat it later, with edits if the dish changed.

How do I log one bowl from a pot of soup?

Example: red lentil soup. The pot holds 200 g dry red lentils, 110 g onion, 120 g carrots and 14 g olive oil (1 tbsp), and makes 4 bowls.

  1. Say it in one message: the weights, the 4 bowls and "log one bowl as dinner".
  2. Your AI divides each weight by 4: 200 g / 4 = 50 g lentils, 110 g / 4 = 27.5 g onion, 120 g / 4 = 30 g carrots, 14 g / 4 = 3.5 g oil.
  3. Remembite saves the bowl at 233 kcal and 12.6 g protein. Water adds nothing, so it is not an item.

Open the meal in the app to fix a weight if you misjudged it.

Next time, say "log my lentil soup bowl". The saved meal sits under My foods.

What does one bowl of that soup add up to?

Every row comes from the saved result of the example above (sample data, hypothetical dish).

Oil is 3.5 g of the bowl and 31 kcal of its 233, so check it first. Weigh lentils dry: see lentil calories, dry and cooked.

What can Remembite not do for a recipe?

  • The result is only as good as the weights you know. A rough weight is an estimate.
  • Oil, butter and salt are easy to forget. State them, or the total is low.
  • No recipe import from a link, no label scanning and no recipe database.

Questions from home cooks

How do I log a recipe that makes four portions?

Give your AI every ingredient weight and say it makes 4. It sends one portion, each weight divided by 4, as in the steps above.

What about oil?

Include it. One tablespoon is a number you state, for example 14 g.

Start with the next pot you cook: send the weights and the portion count to your AI, then save the bowl. Free to start. Any paid plan will be announced here before it begins.
