Use case

Dry rice logged as cooked? 100 g is 235 kcal off

Your AI does the math. Remembite keeps the record. Tell your AI whether the food was raw or cooked, and Remembite checks the numbers against the matching USDA record. Then save one container as a named meal and repeat it with one message. 100 g of dry rice is 365 kcal; cooked, 130 kcal.

Same grams, two records, one wrong log

You cook on Sunday and eat from the batch all week. The scale says 100 g, but is that dry rice or cooked? USDA keeps them as separate foods. Log the wrong one and you are 235 kcal off (365 minus 130) before the week starts. Then you retype the same lunch every day.

Say the state once, repeat the meal

Your AI sends each food with its state and its numbers. Remembite compares them with the matching raw or cooked USDA record, and labels a close match "Checked against USDA". Save the container as a named meal and repeat it by name. Repeated amounts scale with the grams. More in memory in features.

Log a container, then repeat it

  1. Weigh at one state and say it: "150 g raw chicken breast, 100 g dry white rice, 100 g broccoli, 5 g olive oil".
  2. Your AI logs the container: 180 + 365 + 35 + 44 = 624 kcal, using raw and dry records for the chicken and rice. Save it as a template, then say "same container again tomorrow".
  3. For a pot, give the whole pot and the number of bowls. Your AI divides it and logs one bowl.

What the gap looks like

USDA reference values per 100 g, as listed on the Remembite food pages on 2026-10-16:

FoodRaw or dry (kcal per 100 g)Cooked (kcal per 100 g)
White rice365130
Pasta371158
Chicken breast120165

Hypothetical: 150 g raw chicken and 100 g dry rice. As raw records that is 180 + 365 = 545 kcal. Treated as cooked, it is 150 x 1.65 + 100 x 1.30 = 377.5 kcal. The gap is about 168 kcal for one container. Reasoning: raw vs cooked calories. Per-food pages: white rice, chicken breast.

What to expect

  • Remembite does not know your cooking losses. It holds a raw and a cooked record, and you say which.
  • Oil, broth and sauces are numbers you add. A pot divided by eye is an estimate.
  • Reference values are generic USDA foods, not a brand label. Saved meals can be viewed and deleted in the app, not edited.

Either, as long as you tell your AI which and stay consistent.

Can I repeat the same meal all week?

Yes, save it as a named meal and repeat it by name.

Can it total a bowl with several foods?

Yes, see how to calculate calories in a mixed meal.

See saved foods and meals in the sample dashboard, which runs on sample data.
