These are USDA records for fluid milk with added vitamins: whole, reduced fat and nonfat. The main difference between the three is fat level, so pick the one on your carton. A glass is measured by volume and a food log by weight, and this page shows both. The cup and fluid ounce rows come from USDA. The millilitre rows are calculated from the USDA cup weight, so they follow the weight of milk, not of water. Plant milks, flavored milk, lactose-free milk, cream and half-and-half are not covered here. Brand products are not covered here, so use the grams on your carton.
It depends on the fat level. Per hundred grams, whole milk is 61 kcal, reduced-fat milk is 50 kcal and nonfat milk is 34 kcal. The cup row for each type is in the amount table above, with its grams.
Read the millilitre row for your type in the amount table. It is calculated from the USDA cup weight. A 250 ml glass is a little more than one US cup, since NIST lists a cup as about 0.24 liter. Milk is logged by grams, so the row shows the grams behind the calories.
Whole milk has the most and nonfat the fewest. Per hundred grams the records give 61 kcal for whole, 50 kcal for reduced fat and 34 kcal for nonfat. The main difference is the fat level.
A splash has no fixed size, so there is no single number. USDA lists a tablespoon row for whole milk only. For the other types, measure by weight or use the per hundred grams figure with the grams you pour.
